Catching Up Before I Fall Too Far Behind

If you’re like me, you tend to let some things slip because of a mood, or you feel the need to just step back from life for a moment or two, and before you know it, that moment or two becomes a day or two, and that’s not what I had envisioned happening since choosing my new life.

Honestly, that decision to shelve the work camping position was more disappointing than I realized.  I ended up taking too many steps back to rethink the plan. Thus, wasting time, a commodity that none of us should casually discard.

In my haste to get to that work site, I had ignored some of the things I wanted to do along the journey, and that’s to stop and preserve some memories of what I was experiencing. For instance…

At this particular Montana Rest Area, someone decided to pay homage to the ‘Tow Truck Operators’ who have lost their lives along the highways, rescuing everyday citizens with broken down vehicles. Not something that everybody thinks about, but it was important to salute those who are out there in any weather conditions and/or traffic situations.

Perhaps this will give you pause the next time you see someone securing a vehicle that for whatever reason has left it’s owner stranded on the side of the road.

Or pulling off the Interstate to observe the beauty of the countryside, like these shots overlooking the area south of Sheridan, Wyoming.

Or admiring the various formations that ‘Mother Nature’ has created for our enjoyment, like these shots heading into Casper, Wyoming from the north.

Meanwhile, I’m pondering my next move as I am serenaded by whatever piped in music the Truck Stop I’m parked at is treating it’s customers in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on this Sunday evening. I’m thinking it’s time to find a boondocking location that is away from the crowds, traffic, and provides a different perspective from the hectic rush I’ve allowed my life to become lately.
